The Nanyang Technological University School of Materials Science and Engineering (NTU MSE) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join us as Program Manager (PM). The PM will join in a cutting-edge interdisciplinary research project funded by Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF), aiming to develop a data-centered, autonomous, sustainable and intelligent urban farming system for whole-plant yield optimization.
The PM will be responsible to manage the progress of activities required to fulfill all KPIs of the project, foresee all lab activities, equipment purchases and consumables, maintain records and facilitate the smooth run of project. The PM will also be responsible for liaising with industry collaborators and/or grant agency.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and deliver project KPIs and objectives per plan
Manage and plan project budget, establish forecasts, and monitor expenditure against budget
Ensure milestone delivery per plan/schedule, manage/control project risks & mitigating actions
Lead and coordinate engagement with various key stakeholders both internally and externally, including collaborators and the funding agency.
Prepare/consolidate periodic reports (finance, technical) as required and update relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
Manage project documentation, knowledge/data capture and reporting
Oversee claims, procurement, and asset management
Manage logistical issues and laboratory inventory
Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of the research work
Coordinate faculties and researchers visits between NTU and HUJ (e.g. making travel booking, preparing visit programme, etc)
Support the planning, organising and managing research events of the programme (including technical symposiums, seminars/webinars, talks, etc)
Job Requirements
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/Master\xe2\x80\x99s/PhD in Science or Engineering field from reputable university.
Experience in the one of the fields of agriculture, sustainable materials is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse, international, and inter-disciplinary research environment.
Hands-on knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and Scrum.
Experience with relevant project management software platforms
Excellent leadership skills
Experience in schedule and resource planning of complex multi-party projects in the public sector
Ability to work well with multiple competing priorities, manage projects and meet deadlines.
A good team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
