What the role is

The ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute is a leading research centre dedicated to the study of socio-political, security and economic trends and developments in Southeast Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic development.
Applications are invited for:

Research Officer, Regional Strategic & Political Studies (2-Year Contract)
[What you will be working on] Responsibilities: The Research Officer is required to assist in research projects and activities for the Regional Strategic and Political Studies (RSPS) Programme which focuses on Southeast Asia\xe2\x80\x99s relations with the major powers and geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific.
  • Assist the Coordinator and research fellows in their research work, including data compilation
  • Provide editorial support for publications under RSPS\xe2\x80\x99s purview
  • Provide administrative support in organising workshops and other activities under RSPS, including writing summary reports

[What we are looking for] Requirements:
  • BA/MA in International Relations, Political Science, Southeast Asian Studies, Government or Public Policy; or a related discipline
  • Good communication and writing skills in English
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools will be a favourable consideration.
