Responsibilities to the Building Authorities to supervise the works in accordance to the Building Control Act, Regulations and approved plans.
Responsibilities to the Project Architect to ensure that the works are carried out according to contract.
Assist the Resident Architect in supervision and inspection of architectural works at site.
Check that all construction work is carried put in a safe manner
Check that requirements of specifications in regard to materials and workmanship are complied with by contractors. This includes sample tests or materials and workmanship.
Watch for faulty workmanship and material incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectifications
Check line and level and layout during construction and that intentions of contract drawings are adhered to
Check structural slab beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of design details are followed
Keep a record of all measurements and tests and to bring plans into conformity with the work actually executed
Issue such further instructions and clarifications of details as and when required; and to inform Architect / Engineers for issuance of Architect’s Instruction or Architect’s clarification
Work under the direction of Architect for site organisation, allocation of duties and tasks and coordinate with Architect for M&E services and structural design that affects architectural and ID works.
Participate in Client/Consultant's site meeting and technical meeting when requested.
Vet and signoff inspection forms and quality related issues including all dry-lays, trade demonstrations, method of statements, mock-ups, defects inspection and rectification follow-up to sign-off, handover to client.
Check architectural and ID works and intent of design details are followed. To notify Architect of any design intent conflicts and quality variations, illegal works.
To provide consolidated daily summary and weekly reports – incorporating input from the M&E RTO, to the consultant team.
To cover the M&E RTO and vice versa during absences of the other RTO.
Requirements:
At least 6 years or more relevant experience of A&A projects
Accredited as a Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES
Able to start immediately
Prior experience on amusement park projects will be an advantage.
