Job Description

Responsibilities:

• to check that all construction work which includes structural works, infrastructure works (minor sewer, drainage, roadside table, road, etc.), ERSS, precast structure, façade, and all other works for the project are in accordance to authorities’ approved drawings/shop drawings

• to see that requirement of specifications regarding materials, workmanship, quality, and accuracy including any off-site manufacturing, dry lay inspections as instructed by the Architect / Engineer are adhered to

• to watch for faulty workmanship and material incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectifications

• to check line and level and layout of structure during erection and that intentions of contract drawings are adhered to

• to check structural slab beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of design details are followed

• to keep a record of all measurements and tests and to bring plans into conformity with the work executed

• to issue such further instructions and clarifications of details as and when required; and to inform the Architect for issuance of the Architect’s Instruction or Architect's Direction

• to coordinate with M&E RTO for services which affect the structural and architectural works

• to act as client’s representative on site, prepare weekly site progress report and participate in Client/Consultant's site meeting and technical meeting

• to vet and signoff inspection forms and quality related issues

• to check architectural works, landscape works and that intent of design details are followed
  

• Accredited as a Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES
• At least 8 years or more relevant experience as an RTO
