This role is part of an integrated Talent Team, responsible for end-to-end talent management. The team engages consultant talent from recruitment through to successful placements and offboarding, in a well-connected and efficient manner. Roles & Responsibilities Resourcing Attract and successfully convert candidates into high performing consultants. This involves head hunting and other talent targeting activities, origination and execution of impactful talent attraction events, conceiving of and running effective recruitment campaigns through effective recruitment channels. Candidate assessment From initial screening through to endorsement onto our panel, is responsible for assessing, selecting and grading candidates qualified to join the company's collegiate. Consultant CVs and role readiness Work with the consultant to ensure s/he is set up for a successful consultant career. Work with each consultant to understand and be able to communicate their skillset, experience and aspirations. This includes holding skills based CV workshops with each consultant, individually or in groups, to ensure that all consultants have high quality, client-ready CVs to put their best profile forward to achieve their consulting career aspirations, as well as working with consultants to update their CVs to reflect recently acquired skills. Career coaching, feedback and issues mediation Focus on career coaching, preparedness to consult, delivering difficult feedback and mediation of issues. Responsible for involving experts as appropriate and driving progress toward timely handling. Where necessary, will also support the Client team to remediate complex issues which arise whilst consultants are on assignment. Skills development and know-how Ensure consultants have access to legal technical training. Identify soft skills training and topical business seminars which would enhance consultants' ability to be successful. These may be held locally, regionally and globally, so that consultants benefit from relationships in market as well as insights from peers in other markets. Consultant community & marketing Engender a sense of community amongst consultants which includes regular consultant social events. Work with our Global Marketing team to ensure our consultants have opportunities to share their career journeys and successes, and are represented in marketing materials. General Drive or contribute to wider business projects related to talent proposition as and when appropriate. Host recruitment and consultant events. Contribute ideas to the team's wider objectives. Requirements

  • Expertise in lawyers' careers and assessment of top tier legal talent.
  • Insider knowledge of and strong networks in the legal industry, such that prospective talent are reassured that we understand their career paths, opportunities and challenges.
  • A proven track record cultivating strong professional relationships and building trust with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • High emotional intelligence, impressive interpersonal skills. Ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities.
  • A commercial outlook, able to coherently and ethically balance the needs of individual consultants with those of the business.
  • The ability to build engagement with relevant communities, including through marketing and communications programmes and events.
  • The ability to adapt and prioritise in a scale-up, hands-on business environment, delivering a distinctive and high-quality professional service.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and organisational skills. Willingness to help out and get involved at all levels, as part of an evolving and growing business.
  • An ability to work independently and learn quickly with an adaptable and resilient personality.
