  • Upholding standards of the restaurant, and providing top-notch customer service experience to in-house guests.
  • Promote menu items, take orders, serve and assist with clearing of tables. Assist in maintaining the overall ambiance of the venue, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.
  • Processing all reservations requests accurately and with full details of what has been communicated between guest and yourself (Example: Special Requests, Food Allergies, Special Occasion, etc.)
  • Greet each guest warmly and seat them accordingly. Provide high-quality service to guests, addressing their needs promptly and courteously. Be helpful, welcoming, and pleasant towards each guest ascertaining their dining/lodging needs, Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
  • Personalize each guest experience by using the guests\xe2\x80\x99 names where known. Acknowledge each special occasion where known.
  • Ensure service standards and processes are observed to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction when dining. Coordinate with the F&B team to ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.
  • Maintain the Guests\xe2\x80\x99 profile and history, take note of all special occasions and dates for example birthdays, wedding anniversaries, etc. Relay all Guest comments to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Take bookings for the Restaurant, via telephone, fax, emails and deal promptly with all inquiries relating to the Restaurant, turning enquiries into booking and handling guest\xe2\x80\x99s orders.Update restaurant team on reservation requirements and monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
  • Utilize the systems to its full potential, maximize bookings, create a database of all regular patrons of the restaurant, building a detailed record of guests.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Management when needed. Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding and setting silverware, etc.
Requirements: Diploma or Degree from a recognized hospitality / tertiary institution Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess Minimum 2 to 3 years relevant experience F&B experience Knowledge with overall basic food and beverage Proven record in delivering operating results in high volume F&B operations in four or five star class hotel/restaurant would be an added advantage Converse in good English and proficient in service-language (via phone and in-person) High customer service focus Excellent interpersonal skills & Strong Team Player High levels of flexibility, adaptability and ability Meticulous and detailed in their presentation of food and service Ability to perform split-shift duties including weekends, and public holidays
