Job Description
The Retail Manager (store in charge) is responsible for achieving the sales target assigned by the Store Manager/ Operations Manager. The main function is to help in supervising the retail staff under their care. You will be in charge of monitoring and mentoring all employees in their day to day activities in the stores, handle customers in their queries and complaints and be able to solve issues which may arise on ground from time to time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Be reliable and responsible for day to day operations Monitor staff and promoter performance and behavior at the sales floor Conduct on-the-job training for new joiners Display strong product knowledge and good customer service Monitor merchandise movement and communicate with Buyers and Managers the performance of merchandise Recommend to improve business and service to customers Handling of stock take preparation Ensure items are well stocked Key holder, for store opening and closing and as duty supervisor / manager in the absence of the store manager Manage sales area housekeeping including storeroom Develop and train staff according to business needs and goals Monitor store costs accordingly (staff cost, stock losses and write offs) Ensure that displays are clean, neat and tidy at all times Training of new staff on the ordering of products via AS400 and other ordering system in placed, be the main contact person for other store in charge for any technical needs
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum NITEC / Diploma qualifications. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in retail, FMCG industry. Meticulous and strong in mathematical calculations and figures. Computer Literate. Proficient in English (Spoken & Written) and a mother tongue will be an advantage. Ability to: Analyze the sales trends for the assigned sections. Handle difficult customers to resolve issues. * Able to work retail hours and shift.
