The key responsibilities of the role holder are to provide leadership and coordination of change delivery across Risk & CFCC transformation initiatives, leveraging relevant risk and control domain knowledge and Subject Matter Expertise ("SME"). The role will be part of a lean team, delivering risk strategy and transformation work.
Working with multiple teams in an agile environment the role holder will be expected to adopt a collaborative and flexible approach across multiple initiatives. This is a leadership role, and the successful candidate must demonstrate acumen and delivery capability in enterprise level risk management frameworks and risk taxonomy. We are seeking candidates will knowledge of second line governance, policies, and standards for relevant risks, associated first and second line roles and responsibilities, control assessment and design, and relevant current industry best practices.
Strategy
The Risk & CFCC strategy and transformation change portfolio comprises a range of enterprise-wide initiatives that require SME input for delivery. This necessitates significant change management support, impact assessment, planning and stakeholder engagement (across Risk, Compliance and first line), working to tight deadlines and addressing sensitive potential solutions while remaining collaborative, constructive, and transparent in approach.
Business The role holder will be responsible for providing and coordinating SME inputs, and lead oversight of change delivery across risk and control simplification initiatives linked to the central Risk & CFCC strategy. The role holder will employ best practice in change management, as well as continually focusing on the Group\'s core objectives. The role holder is responsible for the following in undertaking the role:
Oversight of simplification activities in relation to CFCCs risk frameworks, policies and standards that collectively form a hierarchy of governance documents. Ability to benchmark that documentation to industry practice either through previous experience or through industry insights.
Oversight to ensure that interconnectedness of risks to documentation and controls is understood, defined, and challenged as appropriate.
Any remediation required to documentation is identified and assessed with those accountable and suitable action plans are developed and agreed.

SME input and consultation on risk and control simplification.
Oversight of change delivery.
Ongoing assessment and review of organizational readiness for change and areas of potential risk.
Undertake regular engagement with initiative stakeholders to support delivery and identify change requirements.
Continually assess change impact through frequent engagement with various stakeholders.
Input to communications and training around risk and control simplification, act as a single point of contact.
In pursuit of these responsibilities the role holder is expected to:
Have a sound and in-depth understanding of risk and control assessment (as a methodology / process).
Be able to engage with senior stakeholders at various levels across the organisation.
Effectively manage and address complexity with continual focus on outcomes.
Realize synergies and efficiencies and ensure consistency in delivery of outcomes.
Work to embed agile principles and ways of working that enable rapid assessment and delivery of impactful initiatives that align with Risk & CFCC Strategy and transformation objectives.
Have relevant experience in a CFCC, Operational Risk or similar environment.
Be experienced in developing and presenting materials for senior stakeholder review.

Our Ideal Candidate The role holder will have experience of delivering change programmes focused on risk improvement / transformation within the Banking industry, ideally gained in a variety of roles and organisational contexts. In particular the role holder will demonstrate:
5+ years of experience and understanding of risk and controls simplification initiatives, linked to Risk Taxonomy, and policy and standards accountabilities and documentation
Strong understanding of agile ways of working and delivering change initiative
Experience in Framework and Governance
Experience in Compliance
Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing abilities
Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders
Ability to manage geographically dispersed stakeholder base with multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
Sound judgement on risk framework and standards matters
