Job Description

Our client is a Global Manufacturing MNC. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Safety Officer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to lab team members regarding safety practices.
• Assist lab management in implementing loss control measures and collaborate in the development of risk assessments for the facility.
• Establish and implement a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) program to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate audits, inspections and evaluations related to HSE.
• Collect data and documentation collection related to lab loss control.
• Assist in formulate and conduct safety training orientation/training programs and sessions/demonstrations for new hire
• Assist in the investigation of major incident and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Responsible for the reporting on the performance of the HSE management system, ensuring two way communication to management, colleagues and any other interested parties
• Ensure that safety equipment is included in operational maintenance plans and ensure all HSE equipment is part of availability, distribution, inspection, and replacement of safety equipment such as personal protective equipment, fire extinguishers, AEDs, and safety showers when necessary.
• Facilitate third-party equipment inspections for compliance.
• Conduct toolbox talk training sessions and attend monthly health, safety, and environmental division meetings.

Requirements

• Min WSH Diploma
• Safety experience in manufacturing or relevant industry
• Knowledge in safety and health regulations/legislation will be added advantage
