JOB PURPOSE The primary responsibility of this role is to achieve sales objectives in support of business directions in the domestic market in Singapore. This position also assists in coordinating with foreign sources to acquire products for domestic sales. Further, the person is responsible for the placement of product programs with specifically assigned accounts and categories. He/she pursues sales leads, promote products, conclude orders, and arrange internal sales logistics.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is responsible to:
  • Manage the pipeline of opportunities from current and prospective customers to ensure that sales goals can be met for local sales.
  • Provide assistance on trading for products sourced from overseas for local and assist in coordinating all aspects of such trading.
  • Develop and qualify leads.
  • Close sales per product category to sales prospects and customers to meet sales goals and contribute to the Company’s profitability.
  • Manage account service, develop new sales opportunities, and create revenue streams.
  • Complete all sales documentation promptly, thoroughly, and accurately.
  • Maintain all sales resources, Market intelligence and databases such that they are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Build a good working relationship with the retailers/traders/end-users, to ensure an understanding of the client’s needs and objectives, and approach decisions as a partnership with the customer.
  • Handle customer inquiries and after sales service and work closely with local distributor to solve any issues.
  • Feedback Production & Quality Assurance departments of quality issues received.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • The incumbent should have a university degree in business management or marketing or any related field
  • At least 4 years related sales experience in the FMCG industry with specific focus in fresh fruits.
  • Person must be knowledgeable in trading and modern retail channels.
  • The candidate must possess apparent passion and belief in the potential of the products that he will be selling.
  • Person will have to be communicative, detail-oriented, analytical, autonomous and proactive.
  • Person must also be a self- starter, aggressive, and independent.
  • Strong organization and critical thinking skills will be integral to succeed in this role.
  • High integrity is a must.
  • Proficiency in English is required.

The incumbent may be required to carry out any other duties as directed by the immediate superior. The responsibility level of any other duties should not exceed those outlined above.
