Plan and drive the realization of the sales strategies by developing business opportunities, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and establishing operations and service excellence standards. Also responsible for leading the organisation's innovation and operating in a rapidly transforming business environment and functions through the understanding of customers' preferences, operational activities, and industry landscape to enhance sales performance, operations and service levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure Customer Growth
Partner with respective teams (Marketing, Merchandising and Training) to develop sales & marketing plans to drive business growth.
Present promotional plans to Mall Management together with the Merchandising Manager.
Work closely with the Merchandising team to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends and customer needs.
Maintain a strong business relationship with Mall Management.
Plan and propose stock-in and sell-through targets on a yearly basis.
Establish retail sales goals and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
Manages Retail Operational Effectiveness
Ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses.
Establish and achieve sell-through sales targets, BPA and inventory targets.
Quarterly review of the stock module to ensure an accurate mix of products for day to day and promotional business.
Compile all sales statistics on a monthly and yearly cumulative basis.
Prepare all monthly and annual sales reports & commentaries to Operations Director.
Analyze and submit competitors’ activities on a monthly basis
Improves Business Processes
Ensure customers’ information are accurately captured and reported on a monthly and yearly basis.
Ensure timely submission of monthly reports including commission paperwork.
Assist management in Budget / Variance from budget planning processes
Annual Store Business Review Presentation
Preparation of market visit presentation kit
Provide sales statistics and commentary for corporate presentation
Leads and Develops People
Develop retail team capabilities.
Be a champion for service excellence and strategize retail for service excellence to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty
Ensure that Counter Managers are constantly upgraded with the relevant skillsets to meet the requirements of the job.
Provide guidance and direction to Store managers
Conduct regular performance appraisals for Store Managers to ensure that performance is up to expectation.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree holder with minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in retail operations, at a managerial level.
Experience in managing retail operations within retail shopping malls
Excellent organizational skills
Numeric with strong analytical skills
Good interpersonal skills - ability to interact with people at all levels
Proactive and go-getter
