Director/Manager Services Sales and Business Development

APAC based

In this position you will be responsible for creating new service business opportunities and increases service business with within Infinera\xe2\x80\x99s APAC region. This position will report to the Vice President of Global Service Sales & Business Development and will be responsible for service sales and marketing activity in the APAC region. You work closely together with Infinera sales, service operations, product line management to ensure the realization of Infinera\xe2\x80\x99s Service Sales Targets.

This position will also work with Product, Sales, Support and Finance Management to identify opportunities for Service Business / Revenue Growth.
Job Responsibilities

  • Spearhead solutions based sales within APAC customer base
  • Drive Infinera managed services business within the APAC region
  • Management of renewals program in region in order to maximize revenue from Infinera\xe2\x80\x99s warranty and maintenance programs
  • Work with Sales and Account Teams on new service development activities
  • Communicate and present Infinera\xe2\x80\x99s service portfolio and roadmap leveraging market knowledge, information and services content
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales in developing service content for potential customers.
  • Create Account Plans that identify, qualify and quantify opportunities in existing accounts
  • Perception Management (customer communication, presentations, organize meetings, events and visits to HQ as required)


Essential Criteria includes:
  • Solid 5+ years experience with sales and/or service management in Telecommunication / networking products and services
  • Experience in organizing and presenting customer service products, and demonstrations
  • Knowledge of metro, regional and global service providers, Content and Cable providers purchasing behavior for service products
  • Knowledge or partner / reseller sales
  • Experience in bid management of opportunities including submission of unsolicited and solicited proposals
  • Knowledge and experience in selling value added services.
  • Understanding and experience of Software or Hardware product development process, then linking Service Products to create value add and opportunity to generate services revenue
  • Understanding of networking architectures deployed and associated support services (Deployment Services, Warranties, Software Subscription, Advanced Replacement, On-site Technical Services, Project or Program Management and 24x7 Technical Assistance and other services required to support the customers network and product life cycle)
  • Understanding and experience in selling managed and consulting services.


Desirable Criteria includes:
  • BS, MBA or equivalent
  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience within a Telecommunications operator
  • Experience within a Telecommunications Manufacturer to enable Business Development of service products
  • General business experience in commercial contracts and pricing
  • Experience in a leadership role through team management
