Sitting in the heart of the central business district and Marina Bay, with panoramic views of the Singapore city skyline, the 583-room PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore is a champion of sustainability, environmental responsibility and advocate for green innovations in the hospitality industry, and home to Southeast Asia's largest indoor sky-lit atrium, containing over 2,400 plants, trees, shrubs and groundcovers from more than 60 varieties of flora spread across 1,400 square metres of space throughout.The RoleReporting to the Director of Sales (DOS), you shall be responsible for increasing the sales of the portfolio assigned through identifying and proactively developing new accounts and maintaining and building relationships with existing clients. You will play an active role in carrying out client acquisition activities aligned with the Hotel's financial goals and objectives.

  • Responsible for business development of the designated local and overseas corporate portfolio of accounts.
  • Analyze the current client base or target market for the hotel and devise new ways to expand that client base.
  • Solicit Corporate FIT and Groups by conducting daily sales calls, networking activities, entertainment, correspondence, and telephone calls.
  • Proactively identify and convert new accounts according to Key Performance Indicators.
  • Regularly discuss with the DOS on actions and pricing strategies to penetrate and secure inclusion in designated corporate RFP accounts.
  • Participate in the preparation of Account Stacking, Room Nights Forecasting, and Sales Action Plan, as assigned by the DOS.
  • Submit weekly sales call plans and sales activities.
  • Participate in Sales meetings by sharing the latest market trends and new business development opportunities and activities.
  • Meet with the DOS/Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) for quarterly performance reviews.
  • Update all sales call data on a daily basis in Opera systems. Review Opera account profiles consistently to update accurate contact details and action plans.
  • Collect market intelligence reports for the DOS/M on assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Adhere to all policies, rate guidelines, and procedures implemented by the DOSM.
  • Work closely with the Sales Support Executive to ensure an effective administrative system.
  • Ensure all communication worksheets for VIPs and Groups are in order and looked after.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on sales trips as approved.
  • Attend tradeshows, travel functions, and major business functions as required/directed by the DOSM.
Talent Profile
  • Minimum Diploma in any discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a similar role in a 5*+ hotel, handling corporate room sales and airline crews.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
  • Takes responsibility, engages, and owns challenges.
  • Creative in formulating tactical and strategic sales roadmaps for the team.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
