What you will be doing:
Control the customer database mailing list and ensure that it is updated constantly.
Maintain existing businesses with clients and develop new accounts.
Complete weekly entertainment and weekly activities plan.
Conduct sales campaign by direct sales call/ visits/ mailing for group and FIT business, meeting and banquets from all sources for bookings and lead
Ensure that all incoming correspondence and telephone enquiries are handled with efficiency and great care to build a pleasant working relationship
Implementation of personal sales call plan program with regular follow up on effectiveness, changing where appropriate to respond to market business needs
Keep clients advised of the latest information regarding the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s development.
Provide after-sales service and in particular to ensure all guests complaints are brought to the management\xe2\x80\x99s attention
Define precisely guest requirements and ensure that the guest services offered corresponds effectively to their requests.
Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to all ambassadors in the department.
Conduct Market Research to source for new Corporate, Leisure and MICE business.
Maintain effective communication with the Director of Sales & Marketing, providing market intelligence on a regular basis, understanding competitor strengths weaknesses and ongoing sales activities
Participate and represent the Hotel at key industry / trade events that will ensure an appropriate return on investment.
Have a complete understanding of the Hotel\xe2\x80\x99s sales vision, its products, services, and rate structure to fulfill business objectives.
Ensure penetration of existing accounts to establish greater awareness of hotel and group products/series to maximize sales opportunities.
Identify and convert sales leads into new business opportunities.
Develop and implement a plan to follow up on prospective business.
Answer all correspondence and inquiries received during the working week within 24 hours of receipt; maintain good public relations with customers.
Maintain a close working relationship with the Sales Coordinator to ensure smooth handover of clients for Events after the signed contract and deposit is received.
Advise Hotel on appropriate treatment of hotel VIPs and other visitors to maximise all sales opportunities.
Adherence to Emergency Communication procedures ensuring that enquiries from the media are only responded to by the nominated spokesperson.
Handle inquiries and \'walk-ins\' as required.
Strive to implement the Sofitel Vision and demonstrate active use of Sofitel Values.
Any other duties assigned by the manager.
Your experience and skills include:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Hospitality Sales environment, 5 star luxury environment preferred.
Demonstrated sales calls experience.
Self motivated.
Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.
Initiates contact and establishes rapport easily.
Organises time and work efficiently.
Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress.
Effective numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Has the ability and willingness to undertake further development.

Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering professional presentations.
Demonstrates understanding of hotel financial reporting and key performance indicators.
