Sitting in the heart of the central business district and Marina Bay, with panoramic views of the Singapore city skyline, the 583-room PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore is a champion of sustainability, environmental responsibility and advocate for green innovations in the hospitality industry, and home to Southeast Asia's largest indoor sky-lit atrium, containing over 2,400 plants, trees, shrubs and groundcovers from more than 60 varieties of flora spread across 1,400 square metres of space throughout.The RoleThe incumbent identifies business trends and marketing opportunities that can improve the hotel's performance. Responsible for assigned sales targets in accordance with cluster segmentation, and works closely with each salesperson to identify opportunities and ways to maximize and exceed personal and team revenue goals.

  • Continuously solicit new business to expand our client base using action plans focused on the market segment identified by the Director of Sales.
  • Prospect and grow an account list, handle incoming leads, and close sales.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on sales trips as approved.
  • Work closely with other sales associates, call on important customers, and establish multiple levels of contact within the customer's organization.
  • Participate in sales meetings by sharing the latest market trends and new business development opportunities and activities.
  • Attend tradeshows, travel functions, major business functions, or as required/directed by the Director of Sales.
  • Organize familiarization trips of hotels and their facilities for clients and potential clients.
  • Support and assist in the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget, and Marketing Plan as requested by the Director of Sales.
  • Build excellent client relationships through attention to detail, prompt follow-up, and empathy for customer perceptions and needs while maintaining professionalism.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas for proposed client base expansion.
  • Take ownership of daily sales activities and maximize productivity by following a system of weekly and monthly action plans.
  • Demonstrate a good working relationship with other departments, maintaining effective communication and teamwork.
  • Actively assist the Credit Department in following up on overdue accounts.
  • Complete small administrative tasks independently (e.g., photocopying, filing) when possible.
  • Ensure the quality of all departmental records (e.g., computerized mailing list), which impacts the workload of support associates.
  • Comprehend, digest, and comply with hotel policies and procedures as described in the Associate Handbook and other documents.
  • Support and uphold the Hotel's Mission, Vision, and guiding principles.
  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures relating to the administration of accounts and the booking of business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales when required.
Talent Profile
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a proactive sales role in luxury hotels with large meeting spaces.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue in 4- to 5- star hotels under MICE sales.
  • Driven, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, spoken, and written communication skills.
  • An excellent team player who is able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
