The Economist sees opportunity for future growth in Asia through a specific country-led approach across the region.

Currently, we are building a high performance growth marketing function in the region and we are recruiting a temporary Sales Operations Specialist to support partners, agencies and the team in Singapore.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales and Marketing operations including contract processing, billing
  • Account servicing and member relations
  • Event planning and logistics
  • General administrative support
This is a 8-month contract position. This is a junior but very key role which can have a dramatic impact on our success in Asia, and is based in Singapore.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

Perform Admin function
  • Contracting with Agencies
  • Scheduling regular team and agency cadences in consultation with the SVP of Asia
  • Arrangement of partner meetings to drive distribution
  • Regularly monitoring key performance indicators and dashboards
  • Liaising with all verticals of The Economist Group to drive joint initiatives
  • Handling invoices (coding, PeopleSoft etc.) from suppliers (hotels, couriers, speakers)
  • Keeping calendars/meeting invites folders updated
  • Fulfil ad-hoc admin tasks including ordering stationery, courier\xe2\x80\x99s, scanning, etc
  • Manage SVP\xe2\x80\x99s calendar, medical claims, T&E, travel arrangement
Arrange meetings and logistics
  • Logistics/hotel arrangements & price negotiations
  • Preparing meeting invites
  • Sending out reminders/meeting notices to participants
  • Assisting in preparing meeting materials prior to meetings
  • Being present at meetings and assisting with the room set-up and registration table manning
  • Circulating Minutes of meetings and action items as required
Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:
  • Relevant experience in a customer-facing admin, sales operations, event planning or project coordination role
  • Good organisation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English
