About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

SAP BASIS Administrator

to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of SAP platforms, ensuring system performance, security, and availability. This role requires strong technical expertise in SAP BASIS administration, SAP BusinessObjects (BO), and SAP Data Services (DS), with additional knowledge in operating systems, databases, and virtualization platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain SAP platforms, including ERP, NetWeaver, Portal, BODS, and Tomcat web server. Perform SAP BASIS administration tasks, including system monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, and patch management. Manage and administer SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP Data Services 4.x or later. Conduct regular system health checks and implement performance improvements. Provide technical troubleshooting and resolve complex system issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, security, and scalability. Maintain documentation, technical procedures, and operational guides. Manage customer expectations effectively and provide high-quality service delivery. Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and audit requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Technical Competencies:

Strong technical skills in SAP BASIS administration, SAP BusinessObjects, and SAP Data Services. Good knowledge of Web Servers (e.g., Tomcat). Proficiency in OS administration (Windows Server and RHEL). Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V). Good knowledge of Microsoft tools and applications (Active Directory, SCCM, SCVMM). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and customer management skills. Strong planning, coordination, and time management abilities. Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently. Strong team player with a responsible and conscientious work ethic.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP Data Services 4.x or later. Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP platform installation, configuration, and maintenance. Minimum 2 years of experience in system performance analysis, health checks, and tuning improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP certification(s) in BASIS or relevant modules. Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an added advantage.
