Our client, an F&B company, is seeking a proactive and technically skilled SAP Basis Administrator to join their IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the SAP systems to ensure stability, performance, and availability. You will play a critical part in maintaining the SAP landscape across the organisation, implementing upgrades and patches, and leading performance tuning and system support.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure 24/7 availability and reliability of SAP systems.
Manage SAP user/client administration, authorisation, system performance, and audit processes.
Oversee transport management, background job handling, system backups and recovery, patch installations, kernel upgrades, and OS/database maintenance.
Conduct and manage SAP Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery operations.
Perform preventive maintenance and optimise server performance to ensure smooth daily operations.
Handle and resolve daily SAP support tickets within defined SLAs.
Serve as the custodian of SAP system architecture, hardware, and integration landscape.
Collaborate and manage third-party vendors to ensure project and support delivery.
Deliver IT-related projects on time and within scope.
Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration.
Strong foundational knowledge of SAP HANA and NetWeaver technologies.
Basic understanding of software development and operational processes within SAP environments.
Prior exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments is an advantage.
Experience working in Linux-based SAP systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills with an analytical and meticulous mindset.
Good communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across all levels.
Self-motivated and able to work independently while taking initiative in project delivery.
