Job Description

Job Scope:

1. Engage core group of students in maintaining and running of After-School Engagement (ASE) centreincluding planning and conducting leadership programme to this group of students.

2. To assist in the development and running of the engagement programme.

3. To design and introduce termly programmes for ASE
Collate on a weekly basis and submit a proposal outline of programmes for evaluation.

4. To monitor students\xe2\x80\x99 attendance at the After- School Engagement centre and to provide teacher-in-charge on termly updates on attendance.

5. To plan, organise and execute a progressive and/or modular activities every Tuesday (structured programme) for selected group of students described by the Authority. Programme must be aligned to the SEL Framework, Enhanced 21CC Framework.

6. Engage and interact with other students who drop in at ASE centre.

7. Monitor safety and well-being of all students in ASE centre.

8. To work with the teacher in-charge to motivate students and equip them with the relevant skills such as study skills, managing emotions, time management as well as life skills and others aligned to school values, which is, GIFTED (Gracious, Integrity, Fortitude, Teamwork, Empathy, Discipline). To carry himself/herself in a responsible and ethical manner at all times.

9. To provide teacher in-charge on overall review of the program at the end of every term.

10. To conduct holiday programmes for the students.

11. It is mandatory to submit bids for both the base period and option period.

12. Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Authority.

Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Shall be registered with Ministry of Education as an instructor and remain registered with the Ministry of Education throughout the Contract period

\xc2\xb7 Should preferably have experience in counselling youth related to social and emotional learning

\xc2\xb7 Should preferably have 3 years of experience in conducting similar programme in secondary school environment

\xc2\xb7 Should preferably have experience in engaging and motivating challenging students

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2024 (option to extend till Dec 2025)

Working Arrangement:

\xc2\xb7 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays : 3pm to 5pm, with no lunch break

\xc2\xb7 Fridays: 1pm to 3pm, with no lunch break

\xc2\xb7 Approximately 2 hours per day = 8 hours per week

Salary: $16 to $18 per hour
