Personnel shall be deployed during the following hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays:
7:30 am to 4:30 pm (inclusive of a 0.5-hour lunch break)
Service not required
on:
Wednesdays
Saturdays and Sundays
Gazetted public holidays
June and December school holidays
2. Scope of Services
The Science Lab Assistant shall support the effective operations of the school's science laboratories. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Science Support Duties
Preparation for laboratory experiments, including organising and preparing apparatus, materials, and resources.
Purchasing perishables when required and ensuring availability of sufficient materials for group work.
Ensuring all lab equipment and materials are functional and well maintained.
Creating or assembling science resources and materials as needed.
Laboratory Maintenance
Cleaning, sorting, and storing equipment after experiments.
Maintaining overall cleanliness and organisation of the Science Labs, including upkeep of apparatus, storage solutions, and periodic stock-taking.
Updating and maintaining the science display cabinet and notice board.
Lesson and Event Support
Assisting teachers during demonstrations, practical sessions, and school exhibitions.
Replenishing materials, arranging resources, and ensuring smooth execution during hands-on sessions and showcases.
3. Qualifications and Skills
The Personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:
GCE
'O' Level Certificate
At least
3 years of working experience
as a Science Lab Assistant
Good communication and interpersonal skills
