Working Hours
Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. (inclusive of 30-min lunch break)
Fridays: 7.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. (inclusive of 30-min lunch break)
No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Scope of Services
1. Science Laboratory & Lesson Support
Prepare teaching materials, apparatus, and resources for science lessons, experiments, practical tests, and workshops.
Support teachers during hands-on lessons and station-based assessments.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised science room.
Ensure proper functioning of equipment/apparatus and report faults promptly.
Keep accurate records of apparatus usage, breakage, and replacements.
Prepare termly reports on activity-based lesson usage.
Perform basic administrative tasks (stocktake, cataloguing, loan records).
2. Hydroponics Programme
Set up, maintain, and monitor hydroponics systems.
Support integration of hydroponics into curriculum and projects.
Guide students in observations and growth records.
3. Makerspace Support
Maintain makerspace tools, equipment, and materials in safe, working condition.
Prepare resources for lessons, workshops, and design challenges.
Guide students in safe tool usage and encourage innovation.
4. STEM Enrichment & After-School Activities
Assist in planning and facilitating STEM enrichment programmes, clubs, and competitions.
Prepare/manage STEM resources (robotics kits, coding tools, engineering materials).
Guide students in hands-on projects to develop creativity and problem-solving.
Document and showcase student projects.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure students adhere to safety protocols.
Assist in risk assessments and safe resource storage/disposal.
Support evacuation drills and emergencies.
6. Administrative & General Support
Assist with school programmes and ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
Support other areas of school operations during holidays/off-peak periods (e.g., resource prep, stocktaking, events).
Attend training/professional development sessions.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum GCE O-level education.
At least 2 years' experience in a similar position within a local school.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Science/STEM preferred.
Experience working in a Science laboratory preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $1,636.67 - $3,000.00 per month
