The Scientist I will be heavily involved in the execution of molecular biology tests designed by the senior group members for verification and validation of new assays and instruments. Ability to design and execute simple experiments independently will also be required. The new hire will be primarily based in laboratory and as such, will have strong experience in Molecular Biological techniques and be comfortable in this environment. The Scientist I will work effectively as part of a dynamic team or alone and possess strong organization skills. The successful applicant is required to exhibit results-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in the fast-paced environment. What will you do?

• Designs and executes molecular biology experiments independently and performs accurate record keeping
• Assists senior members of the team in complex experimentation
• Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions
• Adheres to company policies and procedures following research and development scientific standards.

How will you get here? I. Education

• Bachelors/Masters in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline.

II. Experience

• Practical laboratory experience in PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis.
• Possesses strong computer skills and can manage and analyze data sets.

III. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Basic knowledge in molecular biology
• Able to design test protocols with guidance from senior scientists
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of good documentation practice (GDP)
