Role Description: J&J Southeast Asia (SEA), part of the J&J family of companies, is currently looking for a seasoned Market Access (MA) expert to lead its MA team in the region. Potential candidates will need extensive experience & capabilities in Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Pricing, Reimbursement, and Policy Shaping with responsibilities across the SEA region across therapeutic areas in Pharmaceuticals. The objective of the Head, SEA Market Access is to oversee the development and implementation of regional MA strategies, and support/consolidate efforts of country MA teams to maximize and improve business outcomes in SEA. S/he will provide technical capabilities combined with strategic insights to lead the regional MA team to develop solutions for respective internal/external clients. The role will have a strategic and tactical focus and leadership for both pre- and post-launched products. Key activities will include representing the MA function at the senior leadership team meetings, managing the regional and local MA teams, and providing support to regional cross-functional teams on MA related issues/agenda such Health Technology Assessment and other cost containment measures, and leading local teams in designing and implementing innovative patient access programs and national tender proposals. Additionally, s/he will ensure that pricing strategies are aligned among local, regional, and global teams and promote and share best practice among the local teams. Furthermore, the Head, SEA Market Access will be responsible for the MA talent development/management agenda. The role will have a strong commercial focus as well and will offer the opportunity for leading a talented team in a dynamic and exciting environment across SEA. This role will require strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask and liaise with colleagues with various backgrounds. Job Responsibilities

• Fully manage the SEA regional and local MA teams, drawing up and connecting regional MA strategy to synchronized local MA execution across SEA
• On the TA expertise front, oversee, develop and implement strategies for optimizing market access, pricing, or reimbursement in close cooperation with various internal partners in local, regional, and global MA and other relevant functions to develop and implement various strategies to enable/enhance market access for J&J products
• On the country front, monitor and drive the implementation of agreed upon launch and lifecycle strategies and related projects (by consolidating efforts of country MA teams) to maximize and improve business outcomes in the SEA region.
• Represent MA function in various internal and external team meetings, connecting Market Access to wider business strategy
• Leverage and scale best practices across the SEA region, and build/accelerate business and product value propositions for cross-functional stakeholders
• Lead or provide tactical and technical support to local teams for HTA and other MA related policy forums/discussions
• Lead the MA capability building efforts in the SEA region in future-forward areas such as HTA, SEA MA policy and engagement, Patient Advocacy and Pricing

Qualifications - External
Required

• Pharmaceutical Market Access industry experience strongly preferred.
• An in-depth understanding of governments and their perspective is preferred.
• Strong technical expertise including health economics modelling skills is required.
• Ability to develop a clear understanding of the company’s financial goals, with a clear ability to prioritize, setting up timelines on an international level will be helpful.
• Possessing leadership and ability for networking, active listening and influencing are strongly preferred.
• Ability and experience in managing a culturally dynamic team across multi-markets
• Hands-on experience and technical skills in initiating/managing value evidence generation in prior to and post product launch phases.

Desired

• Doctorate degree in related fields such as Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Health Services Research, Public Health, and Epidemiology is strongly preferred with at least 12 years of industry experience.
• Pharm D with a Master degree in the above fields will also be considered with at least 15 years of industry experience.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English. Mastering multiple languages would be an advantage.
• Able to travel up to 50%
