In this role, you will be responsible for oversee see all aspects of accounting, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, fixed assets, tax and government grant/contract reporting and compliance, cash flow analysis, audits, and financial reporting and analysis. Assist with various management information reports.

Main Tasks
Leads and drives projects to improve the overall quality of reporting within Marel. Evaluates workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommends and implement procedure and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies.
Plays a vital part in the company\'s financial management which includes all balance sheet and general account reconciliations in compliance with IFRS and Marel policies; and reporting to necessary parties or stakeholders
Performs detailed and analytical reviews at a consolidated level to gain a high-level understanding of the consolidated figures, manages follow-up as needed
Pro-actively identifies ways to improve, streamline and standardize tasks and/or processes
Analyzes expenses to evaluate cost saving opportunities to drive value to the Group
Reviews working capital and follows up with customers or stakeholders regarding overdue/aged balances
Works closely with Internal or External Audit to support their audit procedures and leads the timely investigation and resolution of audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Works with outsourced service providers and supports the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close process (consolidation, analysis, accounting checks, compilation of and review of different financial reports etc.)
Provides consultation, explanation and advice on accounting, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
Builds relationships with the local and corporate accounting teams to give them support, training and feedback as needed

Be able to work in a dynamic and international environment
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Bachelor or Master degree in accounting, finance or economics
5 - 7 years relevant working experience, experience in a Big Four audit company preferred
Knowledge and understanding of IFRS required and project accounting experience is preferred
Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
Experience with and comfortable working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
