We are looking for a Senior Accountant role for our new life science platform. Headquartered in Singapore, the new platform will focus on investing, acquiring, developing, constructing, managing, and operating real estate projects in the fast-growing life sciences and R&D real estate markets in Asia Pacific. This platform is a joint venture between Lendlease and Warburg Pincus.Leveraging the unparalleled sector expertise and deep market experience of both Warburg Pincus and Lendlease, the joint venture aims to become a leading life sciences and R&D real estate platform in Asia Pacific, capturing the attractive opportunities in the region\xe2\x80\x99s rapidly expanding life sciences and R&D real estate sector.The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the financial management of a group of Joint Venture entities. Manage and coordinate all aspects of regional financial and management accounting activities, overseeing the monthly closing process and the preparation of other necessary accounting reports to ensure timely, accurate, efficient and informed reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.Your duties include but not limited to the following:Key accountabilities include consolidation of accounts of various Joint venture entities, maintenance and review of GL, monthly, quarterly, half- yearly and annual reporting, preparation of various reporting packs and investor reporting.Ensure monthly, quarterly, half year and annual financials are reported in time for Investors.Responsible for managing third party providing Finance shared services which primarily include AP, AR & Payroll activities.Assist Project Commercial team in preparing and updating Project cost forecasts, attend project reviews and ensure project costs forecasts are accurately reflected in all reporting.Maintain Total Employee Cost information and ensure all projects reflect accurate people cost.Assist Financial Controller in preparing Operational / Business plan in coordination with various function heads and business heads.Review of policies and procedures, initiate and drive continuous process, internal controls and system improvements.Provide finance and accounting support for key operational projects and objectives, including business plans, new business, forecasting and analysis and tax initiatives.Liaise with the Corporate Secretaries in arranging all necessary resolutions in relation to approval of accounts, change in bank signatories, director, officers etc., and ensure filing is done as appropriate.Liaise with the tax consultants / management consultants in Singapore and ensure that the tax returns are properly computed and filed in timeTo be considered for this roleAn accounting graduate with ACCA or CPA or similar professional qualification with minimum 3 years working experience.In-depth understanding of general and transactional accounting processes, cost accounting, financial/ management reporting, tax submissions, dealing with auditorsExperience in system implementation, process improvement, business analysis desirableProblem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through complex issues, guide and coach others in the resolution of problems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Prior experience with Real Estate Investment Management (including investment transactions) and Construction sectors preferable.We work with purpose to design, build and curate places where people want to be and care about.
