Job Purpose

  • The Senior Actuarial Analyst/Actuarial Analyst will report to a Senior Actuarial Manager and will be responsible for planning, projects, and analysis to ensure the successful establishment of the new entity as a key strategic initiative for Sun Life. The Senior Analyst/Analyst will work closely with the Senior Managers on the team and will work directly with the Chief Actuary. The role allows for maximum exposure to leaders within the actuarial team and across business functions and has excellent career development opportunities for strong candidates. This is a unique opportunity to help build the Singapore presence for a new market entrant, with a track record of success in Asia. We offer a competitive benefit package and actuarial exam support.
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development and forecast of company\xe2\x80\x99s solvency and other related requirements for annual ORSA and other stress testing exercises
  • Support company\xe2\x80\x99s annual business planning through analysis of company\xe2\x80\x99s capital management, strategy and implications
  • Be open to support various company initiatives which may include inforce management, experience studies, and bring value-added analysis to the company stakeholders
  • Responsible for actuarial modelling related to business planning and financial planning and analysis to inform business decisions and facilitate strategic planning
  • Collaborate with other employees
  • to identify opportunity of processes improvements and analyses standardization
  • build, enhance and streamline processes to ensure efficient workflows and a strong control environment.
  • Proactively support the successful establishment of the new entity as a key strategic initiative for Sun Life.
Job Requirement
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Life Insurance industry
  • Bachelor\'s degree holder and actuarial exam progression with a recognized international actuarial body
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VBA is required
  • Positive, driven attitude with a desire to learn
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Challenge status quo, take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
  • Strong cross team collaboration skills
  • Experience with Moody\xe2\x80\x99s AXIS or an alternative actuarial modelling software is preferred
  • Experience with Singapore RBC 2 requirements is preferred
