What the role is:

The Government Procurement Function Office oversees the Government procurement policies, practices, systems, and workforce development. Among other responsibilities, it leads the whole-of-government (WOG) procurement function and community, and is responsible for driving transformation of the government procurement function. Our Vision is to enable the procurement function to serve as a valued partner with commercial acumen and operations appreciation that enables Government agencies to buy effectively to achieve agencies\' mission and objectives while ensuring public accountability.

What you will be working on:

The Senior Associate/Associate (Strategic Planning and Development) is part of the core team that develops and implements the transformation roadmap for the WOG procurement function to achieve our Vision. Key result areas include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop the strategic communications plan and coordinate the use of communication channels and messages for WOG procurement transformation \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify and engage key stakeholders with targeted messages to shape behaviours and opinions in alignment with WOG procurement transformation goals \xe2\x80\xa2 Create and manage communications content across all communications channels, including to start and maintain new channels where appropriate \xe2\x80\xa2 Measure the impact and effectiveness of the communication efforts, to refine and improve the strategies over time \xe2\x80\xa2 Organise and facilitate engagements and change management activities with public agencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan, develop and deliver capability development and community building initiatives

  • Able to effectively communicate ideas in a clear, concise and compelling manner across a range of communication channels to diverse audiences \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to develop visually appealing and relevant content that resonates with target audiences \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to apply creative thinking and problem-solving skills to come up with innovative ways to reach out to different target audiences \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-driven and committed individual able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to implement, monitor and manage projects against established timelines to achieve objectives in an effective and efficient manner \xe2\x80\xa2 A background in strategic planning and organisational change will be useful \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with design and editing tools will be advantageous \xe2\x80\xa2 A background in procurement is not essential
