Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore\'s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

Mandai Global, an entity that is part of the Group, will establish and operate new lines of business anchored in creating positive outcomes for nature and wildlife.

The Senior Manager (Planning and Development) will support and assist Landscape Design Manager (Strategic Planning) to lead in resolving landscape site issues, manage contractors and construction activities for timely completion and handover to Operator.

This is a 2 year contract role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Management

\xc2\xb7 Identify and propose mitigation measures to address site and design issues

\xc2\xb7 Ability to identify and provide expedient solutions

\xc2\xb7 Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, schedule and resources

\xc2\xb7 Prepare specifications to initiate Term Contract to carry out the works

\xc2\xb7 Be responsible for implementing the work plan to complete works on time and ensure quality standards are met

\xc2\xb7 Identify and comply with all applicable statutory / regulatory requirements related to project

\xc2\xb7 Lead and direct supervision of contractors including coordinating and sequencing works of different sub-contractors.

\xc2\xb7 Track and produce periodic progress report

\xc2\xb7 To flag out and pre-empt and identify critical issues before incidents.

Onsite Risk Mitigation Solutioning

\xc2\xb7 Identify possible risks to project and stakeholders as well as create contingency plans to mitigate these risks

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with Landscape Consultants, Architects, Engineers, and other specialists to ensure design intent is not compromised

\xc2\xb7 Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions

\xc2\xb7 Co-ordinate and organise construction documents, as-built drawings and maintenance regime for handover to Operations Team

\xc2\xb7 Provide technical advice for all design and construction matters where required

Job Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Minimum Degree in Construction and/or Landscape Design or equivalent, and suitable qualification(s) in Landscape and/or Architecture field

\xc2\xb7 At least 8 - 10 years of construction/landscape site experience managing contractors for all interfacing works

\xc2\xb7 Scheduling and sequencing of critical works with understanding of methodology

\xc2\xb7 Aptitude to technical and environmental design appreciation

\xc2\xb7 Strong technical knowledge and skills to address site issues whilst retaining design intent

\xc2\xb7 Competency in construction administration including handover processes

\xc2\xb7 Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate high level of integrity, professionalism, and technical competency

\xc2\xb7 Critical part planning, strategic planning, timeline management, multi-tasking

\xc2\xb7 Competency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is required

\xc2\xb7 Competency in AutoCad and Photoshop is preferred

\xc2\xb7 Park operations awareness is a bonus
