Overview of the Role

Rystad Energy is seeking a proven Business Development Manager with a strong track record of subscription sales to drive sales of its Oil Trading Analysis Research Solutions across Asia Pacific with an added focus on South-East Asia and India. The Senior Business Development Manager will report to Commercial Head \xe2\x80\x93 APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell Rystad Energy\xe2\x80\x99s Oil Trading Analysis Research Solutions to companies/organizations in South-East Asia and India \xe2\x80\x93 key targets will include Trading Companies (traders of crude oil, oil products, and petrochemical products), Refiners, Petrochemical Companies, Midstream Players (Storage, Transportation, and Infrastructure), Banks, Funds/Investment Firms, and Government Bodies.
  • Support the Oil Trading Analysis Research Solution sales efforts of the rest of the APAC sales team, as the region\xe2\x80\x99s Trading Segment Specialist
  • Develop and execute product-driven and segment-focused client acquisition strategy
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet sales targets
  • Engage with, present and pitch to prospective clients (\xe2\x80\x9cprospects\xe2\x80\x9d) daily, while adopting a consultative and solution-oriented approach in order to win new business
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams \xe2\x80\x93 Marketing, Product, Research, Client Training and Services \xe2\x80\x93 to drive engagement with prospects and close deals
  • On successfully bringing in new clients, manage the client accounts to ensure renewal of services as well as growth through upselling/cross-selling of other offerings.
  • Constantly promote the Rystad Energy brand and values externally in all interactions with prospects and clients
Experience and Qualifications
  • Candidate must be able to work in Singapore \xe2\x80\x93 existing Employment Pass holder; Permanent Resident; Citizen
  • Minimum of a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • Between 6 to 8 years of B2B Sales/Business Development experience within the Energy industry \xe2\x80\x93 specifically, experience in selling business or market intelligence services within the Downstream/Refining/Energy Trading segments.
  • Proven track record of surpassing sales revenue targets through a combination of new business development and existing account management
  • Solid network of relationships across South-East Asia, India, and the rest of APAC within the Downstream/Refining/Energy Trading segments
  • Ability to engage with individuals across all levels within target organizations, including Senior Management/C-Suite
  • Experience in internal stakeholder management \xe2\x80\x93 i.e., collaboration with cross-functional teams internally to drive prospect/client engagement externally
  • Ability to speak a second language that can be leveraged for the South-East Asian markets will be a distinct advantage
