Job Description

-The Opportunity:Adecco is collaborating with a major provider of equipment for making semiconductors and electronic devices. It designs and builds machines that help in packaging and assembling these components. Serving customers worldwide, it plays a key role in improving how semiconductors are made, with its technology being used in industries like automotive, consumer electronics, and data storage.The Senior Buyer oversees the procurement of materials and equipment for production, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency. Key responsibilities include issuing purchase orders, resolving supplier issues, and collaborating with engineering and internal teams. The role also manages Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and works with logistics and finance on receiving and payment matters. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ERP knowledge (preferably Oracle) are essential.

• Work location: Serangoon
• Work hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
• Salary: up to $6,500 + AWS + VB (15%)

The Job:

• Evaluates planned orders and exception reports using Oracle Applications Planners Workbench, ensuring efficient material planning and inventory management.
• Analyzes supply, raw material, and equipment requirements for production and internal customers, maintaining alignment with operational needs.
• Ensures cost-effective purchasing decisions by applying a comprehensive knowledge of materials and supply sources, while meeting quality and quantity standards.
• Issues and expedites Purchase Orders for raw materials and equipment, while coordinating technical issues between suppliers and engineering teams to ensure timely deliveries and problem resolution.
• Addresses quality concerns by collaborating with quality control, users, and vendors to resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
• Manages the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO), rework processes, purges, and assesses the associated cost impacts.
• Maintains detailed procurement records, including cost, delivery, quality, and inventory data, while liaising with logistics and finance to resolve issues related to receiving and invoicing.

The Talent:

• Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, with over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of direct materials procurement experience, with a strong background in supplier and commodity management.
• Proficiency in ERP software, preferably Oracle Applications, is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability, with experience working collaboratively across departments and functional teams.
