Senior Commercial Executive Ship Repairs (benoi)

Job Description
Overall Purpose:
Perform estimating, billing and negotiation for all repair and modification jobs to secure ship repairs contracts.Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and realistic estimate for jobs as required in tender bids
- Source for suitable subcontractors for specialized jobs and complex work
- Prepare accurate an detailed invoicing to achieve fair and better contribution margins
- Liaise with Shiprepair Manager and Project Supervisor on all quoted and additional jobs
- Assist Commercial Manager or his designate in with respect to discussion of invoices for completed projects with attending Owner Representatives
- Assess subcontractors' invoices, discuss with relevant parties and conclude bill settlement within target timeframe
- Diploma/Degree in an Engineering field
- Strong techno-commercial background in ship repairs or marine construction
- Experience in cost estimation and analysis for new ship repair projects
- Experience in subcontracting and major equipment procurement is advantageous
- Familiar with bidding and tender protocols
- Good interpersonal, organizational and PC skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Only Singapore Citizens will be considered for this role
- Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
- 5 days work week
- Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
