You will join our Impact Assessment department

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct biodiversity accounting / nature positive assessments aligned with Nature England, IFC Performance Standard 6, Green Mark, GRI and other sustainability frameworks
  • Contribute to or oversee preparation of documents such as BAP, EIA, EIS, BIA, EMMP etc
  • Deepen and expand integration of biodiversity into ESG, sustainability and urban planning projects to drive sustainable solutions
  • Conduct biodiversity field work such as monitoring, EMMP implementation, supervision, auditing, training/ toolbox trainings etc
  • Supervise and manage more junior ecologists and provide training/mentoring in wildlife, botanical and habitat survey skills
In addition to the above, the role will involve the following key tasks and responsibilities:
  • Point of contact with clients to discuss biodiversity issues in support of our Partner for Sustainable Change ambitions
  • Interfacing with Ramboll\'s landscape design practice to help us deliver more effective biodiversity and ecosystems outcomes
  • Reviewing reports including EIA chapters
  • Delivering complex projects on time and managing them to budget
  • Business development and client relationship management
Key deliverables
  • Successful contribution to delivery of major EIA projects
  • Technical specialist / point of contact for the team on biodiversity matters
  • Key client contact and prominent member of the regional ecology team
  • Contribution to the fields of biodiversity, natural capital, climate and sustainability

  • Bachelor\'s degree in relevant discipline (environmental sciences, civil or structural engineering or similar)
  • At least 5 years of experience in consulting and/or sustainability applied to renewables, real estate, infrastructure, or the built environment, as well as a willingness to explore the links with other sectors (spatial and urban planning, etc.)
  • Strong passion for and deep knowledge about the local and global biodiversity agenda
  • Self-starter with the ability to setup and manage responsible and transparent processes and systems
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a remote environment
  • Self-assured critical thinker, able to quickly understand the basics of a topic and distil down complex ideas into digestible narratives
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written - this role requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to various levels of leadership
  • Strong project management skills e. g. can define and execute on development projects with respect to scope, quality, time, budget, risks and stakeholder-management
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work streams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail and quality of deliverables
