Our Economic and Financial Consulting team helps our clients navigate legal, regulatory and international arbitration proceedings while supporting strategic decision making and public policy debates around the world. Position Summary

Our Economic Consulting practice provides law firms, companies and government agencies with analyses of complex economic and financial issues to assist them in understanding the issues and opportunities they face. Our Economic Consulting practice provides oral and written expert evidence on damages quantification, valuation and regulatory issues in the context of commercial and investment treaty arbitrations. Questions of accountancy, economics, finance or valuation often arise in the resolution of international disputes.

Our people work together to solve complex, unstructured problems such as:


  • How do you calculate the impact of the alleged LIBOR fixing?
  • Is a business without sales or profits worthless?
  • What is the value of a brand?
  • How much are consumers willing to pay for music in a nightclub?


What You'll Do

Senior Consultants are responsible for owning individual work streams within projects, either working individually or with others, which involves directing, supervising and reviewing the work of less experienced Consultants.

Senior Consultants lead individual work streams on analysis, research and financial modelling and prepare sections of reports. They are expected to take responsibility for leading research and other synthesis of information; managing and carrying out quantitative, industry and market analysis; and reporting their findings in a clear, concise and structured manner.

More specifically the role will involve:
  • Identify relevant project material and deliver key supporting research;
  • Analyse large volumes of data and perform statistical analysis;
  • Design complex models with limited guidance;
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables;
  • Design and build valuation models and perform financial analysis;
  • Investigate and critique assertions, analyses, and work product of other experts; and
  • Assist in business development activities in Asia-Pacific.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree in an quantitative subject such as Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Science;
  • 3-6 years work experience in relevant/ related field;
  • Excellent modelling financial skills and experience in designing, coding, and implementing pricing/ valuation frameworks;
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to solve complex, unstructured problems in a logical manner, think critically and independently, and willingness to challenge assumptions and take ownership;
  • Team spirit, autonomy and confidence in taking the lead on significant parts of the analysis and supervising more junior members of the team;
  • Both an eye for the big picture and for detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
  • Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity and passion for problem solving;
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/VBA, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel when requested.
