The Opportunity: We are looking for a proactive and talented Senior Consultant to join our Property Economics & Research practice in our Singapore office. Our Property Economics & Research team works at the cutting edge of real estate and urban analysis, combining economics and big-data analytics, with a deep understanding of urban planning, real estate markets and cities to provide evidence-based answers to the most challenging questions. You will be part of a team undertaking research, data analytics and visualization, mapping, modelling, and report writing on a range of city-shaping projects located not only in Singapore but also elsewhere in Asia and in the Middle East. The projects will be varied, from property market studies and real estate asset analysis to large scale city level master plan developments. Normally international travel to Australia, Asia and the Middle East is a key feature of this position and we expect it to again be part of the role when regular travel is possible again. The role will be supported by highly experienced Directors and a market leading Property Economics & Research team.

You will: Project Inputs
  • Manage and undertake field research to obtain primary data and knowledge across a wide range of sources and networks. This will include travelling, relatively regularly when possible, to cities throughout Asia and the Middle East.
  • Collate and analyse qualitative and quantitative data for consulting assignments and assisting the team to deliver property advice to clients.
  • Use appropriate tools such as GIS, internal databases, and Microsoft Office products to extract, populate and manipulate data.
  • Apply critical thinking to analysis and prepare robust conclusions and recommendations.
  • Be responsible of preparing high quality reports and other outputs.

Knowledge & Product Development
  • Regularly review major research documents and data sources and inform the team on market information, trends and developments.
  • Keep up to date with local and global trends relevant to Cistri\'s core business.
  • Compile and maintain databases, including the cleaning, preparation, and entry of information.
  • Assist in developing new databases and database related products.

Commercial Management
  • Maintain and collate all project files as required.
  • Ensure effective individual workload planning.
  • Support effective team workload planning
  • Prepare weekly timesheets and invoices for projects.
  • Master the technical aspects of Property Economics & Research assignments.

Business Development
  • Develop an understanding of the business plans for the overall Cistri business and for the Property Economics & Research Business Unit.
  • Participate in the development and growth of the company and the Property Economics & Research team.
  • Assist in managing internal and external clients, while gradually building up own client base.
  • Prepare draft proposals, tenders, presentations, and submissions for potential projects

About You:
  • Relevant work experience of more than 5+ years is desirable
  • Completed undergraduate qualifications in Economics, Business/Finance, Real Estate or related degree.
  • Intermediate to advance level in using Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with GIS systems (such as ArcGIS or QGIS), data visualisation software (e.g. Microsoft Power BI), or programming language (e.g. Python) would be advantageous.
  • Experience in database creation, manipulation and management is preferred
  • Able to effectively prioritise and multi-task.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbally and through written communication.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret and critically review research data.
  • A solid understanding of client service principles.
