Assist Lead Designer/Engineer in establishing discipline deliverable lists, procedures, interface definitions, and coordination.
Produce, modify, and review documents and drawings according to discipline deliverable lists.
Execute all tasks assigned by the Lead Designer following discipline procedures and best practices.
Participate in 3D and/or 2D design and model reviews, including hookups, wiring drawings, installation drawings, and MTO (Material Take-Off) generation.
Identify external interfaces and provide timely information to relevant parties.
Define and manage resources needed to complete assigned work.
Ensure all work complies with specified Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) requirements.
Maintain a positive and safe working environment at all times.
Adhere strictly to the company's code of conduct and promote ethical behavior.
Continuously seek to upgrade personal competence and skills.
Proactively contribute to improvements in project cost efficiency and scheduling.
Follow the generic discipline deliverable list and internal control procedures.
Work Experience:
Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical detailed design and engineering for offshore/onshore oil & gas projects, including FPSO, process platforms, and HVDC converter platforms.
Proficient in preparing single line diagrams, layout drawings, cable block diagrams, interconnection diagrams, etc., using MicroStation software.
Experienced in generating electrical bulk materials, cable ladders, cable, and cable gland MTOs.
Skilled in lighting, small power, and heat tracing design.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Other Skills:
Expertise in 2D drafting tool MicroStation.
Proficient with 3D drafting tools PDMS and/or E3D for cable ladders, field trays, supports, and equipment modeling.
Experience with lighting illumination calculations and cable routing.
Capable of producing and reviewing new and existing documentation and drawings.
Strong quality control and assurance skills to improve discipline work and implementation methods.
Ability to support the lead engineer/designer in meeting project schedules and budgets.
Familiar with project procedures, practices, and special project requirements.
Experience supporting site teams by resolving queries and issues.
Knowledge of Cabsys, STID, and Nodal diagrams is a distinct advantage.
Exposure to yard fabrication activities is preferred.
