Overview:Element has an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Senior Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer positions must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.For more information on Element\'s Built Environement sector, please take a look at our e-brochure:Responsibilities:

• Provides technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory and potentially across the Element enterprise
• Provides counsel to coworkers and customers requiring critical analysis of data
• Is able to exchange technical information and knowledge with peers, senior colleagues and specialists across the element enterprise
• Actively seeks ways to disseminate critical testing knowledge, acumen and protocols throughout Element
• Is accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
• Is able to oversee and guide problem solving of complicated technical challenges
• Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
• Confident making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
• Assists in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory
• Carries out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
• Utilizes an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis
• Adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions

Skills / Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Possesses a wealth of knowledge, deep awareness and critical understanding related to the scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of his/her chosen engineering discipline
• Has a depth of specialty knowledge and understanding in multiple areas of an engineering discipline
• Has also demonstrated the ability to develop technical knowledge in their chosen field in the context of Element\xe2\x80\x99s business
• Likely to possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
• Will have a minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element\xe2\x80\x99s business
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts
• Possess strong computer skills
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
