Patient care is backed by leading edge research by our research arm, the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI). The aim is to advance our cardiovascular care and treatment.To fulfil our mission in patient care, research and education, most of our clinicians take on multiple roles - as doctors and surgeons, as researchers, and as teachers in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS). This has enabled us to keep abreast of the latest medical developments and advances, to bring new treatments and cures to our patients.NUHCS is the only cardiac centre in Singapore to rank globally in Newsweek\'s "World\'s Best Hospital - Cardiac Surgery" for 2 consecutive years in 2022 and 2023.Key Responsibilities1) Clinical Audit Coordinator Role

  • Perform Clinical Quality audit of Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) Cases admitted to NUH, NTF and AH. Collect data and update percentage of AMI cases who died from any cause within 30 days of admission (i.e. in and out of hospital).
  • Collect, update and maintain data in NUH AMI registry (i.e. Cardiac CCU database).
  • Collect clinical outcome data (in patient AMI mortality).
  • Review AMI cases and feedback to the clinicians and healthcare staff for improved documentation practice which involved the update of HIDS to add the reasons for AMI medications prescriptions, accurate diagnosis, smoking history and smoking cessation advice in discharge summary HIDS.
  • Prepare reports and timely submission to the HOD and Medical Affairs-Clinical Governance Office (NUH).
  • Aggregate cardiac catheterization report on each patient undergoing coronary angiogram which includes both diagnostics and interventional catheterization procedures.
  • Track the clinical data elements such as patients\' demographics, episode of care, admission date & source, discharge status by using the forms of cardiac cath lab modules is issued by Singapore Cardiac Data Bank.
  • Collect the diagnostics variables, procedure medication, intra & post procedure events, comorbidity and lab results as well as treatment plan (optimized medical, revascularization procedure).
2) Ops & Admin Role
  • Data mining and analysis to support and facilitate the entire work planning and budgeting process of the assigned service point(s) from development till implementation/execution.
  • Manage and perform all the procurement activities of the assigned service point(s), working with the relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure active tracking and monitoring, and timely completion of all procurement.
  • Manage the daily operations of the assigned service point(s), partnering relevant stakeholders such as Clinic Manager and Nurse Manager to resolve system and process issues including but not limited to patient experience, patient and staff safety, registration, admission, length of stay, wait time, decanting/right siting of patient, and billing as and when required.
  • Manage resources allocation, tracking and monitoring of utilisation of the resources of the assigned service point(s).
  • Manage the projects assigned, including but not limited to design and implement workflow, execute the projects, close monitor and report KPI performance.
Key Requirements
  • Enrolled Nurse / Registered Nurse
  • 5 years in data entry data collections
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work with all levels of staff
  • Have a positive and proactive mindset
  • A good team player who is able to work independently
