Key Responsibilities

  • Review causes of baggage mishandling, accidents, flight delays or complaints and design follow-up plans pertaining to deployment, procedural or infra-structural changes;
  • Manages and assign duties to the Baggage Admin, Baggage Line Training, Baggage Performance & Statistics teams;
  • Collates and analyses performance statistics/reports and work out operations to identify root causes of poor performance (e.g. flight delays) so that preventive/corrective actions can be taken;
  • Attends to all Baggage Reconciliation System-related issues including presentations, operational cutover and billings;
  • Plans for T1/2/3 operations including procedures, manpower and equipment requirement;
  • Reviews, updates and refines operating procedures, guides/manuals with close consultation with HBS, Operations and senior staff;
  • Handles the ISO, ISAGO and other audit certifications, documentation and audit for Baggage and Lost & Found;
  • Handles all safety and security related issues for Baggage and Lost & Found. Provides prompt reporting of Industrial and Vehicular accidents. Sits in the Safety Committee;
  • Takes charge of Industrial Relations for Baggage and Lost & Found;
  • Attends to staff and staff welfare matters such as recruitment, terminations, loans, change of duties, transportation, annual and medical leaves;
  • Manage department budget in close consultation with HBS, Operations and senior staff;
  • Administer the staff annual appraisal and regular assessments;
  • Administers issuance of uniform to staff;
  • Any other Projects as assigned by Reporting Officer;

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree Holder
  • Experience in the aviation industry would be an advantage
  • Resilient, resourceful, creative and collaborative traits, and good interpersonal skills are required for this position
  • Possess good organizing, problem solving and supervisory skills and abilities
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
  • Meticulous in his/her work output
