Job Description

What the role is:

You supervise upkeep of Naval Bases through planned and adhoc cleaning and horticulture, landscaping services, and proper management of wildlife. On this, you prepare the required Approval Of Requirements (AORs), Purchase Requests (PRs) and perform contract execution for contracted services (e.g. wildlife management, pest control, etc.) and works carried out in common areas. You also ensure delivery of quality transport services for the respective bases.

What you will be working on:

Your challenges lie in ensuring contractor performance and standards for a wide spectrum of environmental and Base Services, as well as facilitating quick turnaround time of works pertaining to a wide spectrum of environmental and base services while ensuring that contractors fulfil considerations of safety, security, and quality of work. You also need to stay up to date with the changes of statutory requirements across different domains and maintain close communications with experts from other agencies such as the Medical Corp, NParks etc.

What we are looking for:

You should have a Diploma, preferably in environmental services and management or facilities management. Having at least 3 years\' relevant experience in environmental services and management is advantegeous. You should be meticuluous to ensure correct work scope, costing and accounting when utilising the contract and evaluating contractors\' performance of works. You should be able to work independently with good interpersonal skills as you are expected to communicate with experts from other agencies as well as contractors carrying out planned and adhoc jobs to ensure works are in adherence to contract agreement.
