Responsibilities:
Support lab teachings in the AE division throughout the academic year.
Supervise undergraduates and post graduates on conduct of risk assessments, safety training online modules and other SOPs requirements under the workplace, safety and health management system.
Perform lab's requisition via Ariba on behalf of faculty members, researchers for their teachings and research needs.
Responsible for lab asset management, ensuring assets under the custodian of Aerospace Structures (AS) Laboratory are properly accounted for. Participate in external audit preparation, ensuring lab documents are updated, properly documented and organized for auditing.
Operate and maintain equipment in labs under AS responsibility.
Capable of operating test equipments such as servohydraulic test systems, High-temperature Furnace, CMM, dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), thermomechanical analyzer (TMA), etc.
Establish lab equipment utilization and software applications in AS lab.
Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, specialising in aerospace structures
Good communication skills
Knowledge in aerospace materials fabrication (composites, metals, etc.)
Knowledge in industrial equipment such as DMA, TMA, strength tests, autoclave, etc.
Knowledge in WSH requirements and other regulatory requirements such as NEA, SCDF
Experience in setting up PCs, laptop, Windows OS, PC migration, hardware configuration, virus signatures updates, PC cloning, PC troubleshooting and maintenance
Knowledge in SAP Ariba, IBM Workday, Office 365 suites
