Senior / Executive, Logistics Services








Job Purpose
The Senior Executive, Logistics Services is responsible to lead and manage the logistics services of the of the department. He/ She will manage and oversee spares support, purchase and repair of spares, and contract management. He/ She will also provide support to the maintenance branches in the repair of faulty spares. He/ She will also oversee the freighting and distribution of inventories, including receiving and dispatch of inventories, and waste disposal. He/ She is also expected to lead his/ her team members in the day-to-day repair management services operations, including in-house, external and Long Term Service Support (LTSS), and make business decisions independently. His / Her role is required to work closely with the different material planning branch, maintenance branches and warehouse in order to ensure that sufficient spares are available for maintenance task to be carried out in a timely manner. He / She will also coordinate with procurement Office/ Vendors on the procurement of parts and provision of repair services.


Responsibilities

Her/his roles and responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following areas:


To support the department in carrying out the following job scope:

  • Ensure successful turnaround of Reparable and Non-Reparable spares

  • Carry out monitoring of Spares sent out to internal or external agencies for repairs.

  • Carry out Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to analyse and determine the level of spares required to sustain maintenance needs

  • Carry out Material Distribution, Delivery and Planning to ensure that critical spares pre-positioned at forward deployment points for maintenance quick access.

  • Oversee asset count and stock taking exercises to ensure accuracy of material quantities & accountability.

  • Oversee and ensure successful execution of purchase of spares or repair of faulty spares

  • Work closely with maintenance branches in their requirements for spares availability and repair services

  • Coordinate in the freight & distribution and shipment of spares

  • Track and monitor contracts set up for the purchase or repair of spares

  • Ensure creation/ update of material data as required for the procurement of spares

  • Manage performance of vendors on timely delivery of spares and return of spares sent for repair

  • Work with colleagues at organizational level to develop innovative solutions for driving change e.g. KAIZEN initiatives

  • Any other duties and or projects that may be assigned by Manager, Logistics Services



Qualifications & Work Experience

  • At least a Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Familiar with SAP, Maximo, or equivalent Management Information Systems



Skills

  • Candidates with following Technical Skills is preferred:
  • Warehouse Administration
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) Administration
  • Process Improvement and Optimization
  • Customer Management (Level 4)
  • Change Management (Level 4)

  • Possess good communication skills and Interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
