What you will be working on:

This incumbent should aspire to bring into effect paradigm shift in how Singaporeans perceive and respond to participation in gymnastics and martial arts (taekwondo, Aikido, and Silat) with the aim of facilitating and sustaining active participation in the sport (focusing on youth development), which would further translate into successful transition of participants to coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators and fans of the sport. Role and Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with team members from the sports centres and coaches and lead the operations of programmes at identified centres and competitions and events island wide. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor the players\' database, progression and activity levels and recommend initiatives and methods for retention and development, including the staffing of overseas competitions and exchange trips. \xe2\x80\xa2 Construct developmental pathways for players to progress from skills-based and behavioural standpoints. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create the range of contents and maintain the channels for regular and interactive communication between the academies and clubs and parents \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor the parents\' database and identify potential advocates for set up and development of parent support groups within the academies and clubs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Design and implement activities that will enable active participation in the academies and clubs by the parents \xe2\x80\xa2 Engage and deepen parents\' understanding of their child\'s development during his/her time in the academies and clubs \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee and monitor the coaches\' database of the academies and clubs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the overall process and documentation of hiring, assessment and development of coaches. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the Team Lead to establish a coach development and education pathway from a volunteer to head coach, including working with CoachSG and NSA to draw up a coach certification and education calendar. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proactively source for potential schools and outreach platforms. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with team members, coaches and volunteers and lead the operations of these outreach events and initiatives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. CoachSG, Sports Safety, Sports Fundamentals) to design and develop the curriculum for players and coaches \xe2\x80\xa2 Form partnerships with credible organisations whose purposes and objectives align well with the academies and clubs to expand its reach, capability and impact

What we are looking for:

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active. In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 General degree or higher in Sport Management or related discipline \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum 4 years of proven experience and/or track record in relevant areas, e.g. sport development, academy management related work \xe2\x80\xa2 Good understanding of Singapore sporting ecosystem \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior experience in project management will be an added advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to manage and lead people of diverse backgrounds and different positions \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated and able to work independently \xe2\x80\xa2 Good organisational, management and administrative skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient computer skills (standard software applications such as MS Office, email communications and internet research). The level of offer will commensurate with applicants\' experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance.
