Minimum Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
3-5 years of working experience, preferably from freight forwarding, automotive industry or logistics.
Good contacts with Freight forwarders / carriers will be an advantage.
Familiarity with air, sea and land transportation arrangements and handling requirements of Dangerous Goods (DG) cargo as classified by International Maritime Organization.
Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring customer expectations are met.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Meticulous and detail-oriented with excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
Capable of working independently as well as a good team player.
Adaptable and able to thrive in deadline-driven environment.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Address day-to-day transport requests and ensure effective communication channels for follow-up actions from customers, vendors, internal parties and service providers via the Transport Management mailbox.
Coordinate multi-modal transportation, covering air, sea and land while ensuring relevant shipping documents by the service providers are accurately submitted and in compliance with local authorities and controlling agencies.
Maintain close co-ordination with service providers to ensure timely delivery of customer orders and the execution of returns as per the transport routing plan.
Monitor and communicate updates on the incoming shipments from vendors, promptly flagging any delays caused by vessel bunching or related issues to facilitate proper and timely clearance by the warehouse service provider.
Process timely ensuring accurate submission by the service providers on the transport billing information, including demurrage, detention and custom tariffs.
Efficiently manage transport claims, utilizing both internal claim systems and insurance submission. Contribute to departmental weekly and monthly reports by highlighting and addressing any abnormalities in service providers performances for immediate resolution.
Uphold audit requirements and risk management within the designated area of responsibility.
