Job Description


:The candidate will be part of the Collections Development team which manages the acquisition of artworks via donation and purchase as part of a continual effort to grow and enrich the National Collection for which the Gallery is a key collecting and presenting institution. The candidate will be providing administrative support for the Collections Development team.Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support Collections Development team with:
  • tracking of operational budget;
  • basic procurement tasks such as PO generation;
  • minute-taking of meetings;
  • documentation and filing.
  • Support donor appreciation and stewarding activities.
  • Hospitality arrangements for invited personnel.
  • Familiarise with the Singapore Collection Management System to assist with data checks and entry.
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum a Degree, preferably in Arts and Humanities
  • Ideally 1-2 years of relevant work experience in administration, preferably in arts/festival related portfolio
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A team player who is detail-oriented, able to multi-task and strong in administration
  • Must possess cultural sensitivity and understanding for diverse communities
  • Takes initiative and is assertive when required
  • Keen interest in the arts, heritage and museum field
  • Understanding of working relationship with artists, curators, researchers, and other relevant partners and stakeholders
