Job Purpose

As the Manager/Senior Executive, Product & Technical Services (Interior Design), you will play a crucial role in our company\'s worldwide expansion plans. Reporting to the Head of Global ID & Head of Technical Services, you will be responsible our design strategy for both current and future hotels. This includes overseeing all aspects of new construction, renovations, and prototypes for The Ascott Limited. You will be required to work & travel on projects in Regionally.

Core Responsibilities:

Interior Design Services

• You will be involved in interior design assignments that include conceptual, schematic design, design development, tender documentation through project completion.
• You must be able to use SketchUp to develop ideas and articulate design intent.
• You will be required to prepare PowerPoint slides for the presentation to stakeholders.
• You will be required to select of FF&E, colour palette, prepare mood boards and material sample boards.
• You will be required to assist in preparation for schedule of finishes and material specifications for interior works.
• You will be required to work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that quality of work is consistent with company\'s documentation as well as professional standards.

Design Management

• Make sure all available Guidelines, Specifications, and Requirements are made available to the Owner and relevant consultants.
• Review, evaluate, and assess new potential projects ensuring compliance to the serviced residence and hotel standards and operations and highlighting any non-compliance.
• Ensure the protection of the standards of the products and to take required action if any breach is identified.
• Attend project kick-off meetings with the Owner, designers, and project consultants on board.
• Coordinate and integrate with other team members and involve all concerned departments according to project progress: IT, HR, Brand, Operations, Finance, and Purchasing. Monitor other departments\xe2\x80\x99 follow-ups to avoid gaps and delays.
• Presentation to senior management.
• Review and arrange milestones validation and approval with other departments.
• Review of ID drawings and coordinated drawings.
• Keep track and update each project\xe2\x80\x99s progress, status, milestones, and estimated opening date.
• Ensure complete satisfaction of owners with the Product & Technical Services right from the beginning till the end, and smoothly transit the relationship to the operation team upon completion of the project.

The Requirements:

• You are an Interior Designer with excellent presentation skills with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience.
• You are preferred to be well versed in Design & Planning of F&B projects. Understand operation workflow and kitchen appliance/ equipment allocation.
• You have strong experience working on Hospitality design projects.
• You have a strong design sensibility and the technical ability to develop a project from concept to execution.
• You have experience in managing internal multidisciplinary teams in the development of hotel projects.
• You have experience in effective management of third-party consultants & owners.
• You are a team player with a positive attitude to go the extra mile.
• You have multi-tasking ability, with time management and organisational skills.
• You have a registered Diploma or Degree in Interior Design.
• You have an excellent knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop & 3D visual programmes.
• You have outstanding graphic presentation skills.
• You are ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
