We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Expansion Lead.

We are building a new strategic digital business backed by a Global Bank, with the ambition to become the next-generation global fintech solution, supporting the needs of internationally minded customers around the world. With a Global Footprint, they have more than 50 million customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services, enabling customers to manage their finances and protect and build their financial futures.

Purpose:

We have an aggressive roadmap and we are looking for an experienced Senior Expansion Lead to join us on our journey. The purpose of this role is to be a vanguard of new market entry cutting across proposition, product, technology, acquisition, partnership, regulatory authorisations. You will get an opportunity to demonstrate your prowess and launch the global proposition adapting it to \xe2\x80\x9cfit for purpose\xe2\x80\x9d for the market you are in charge of, and unleash your entrepreneurial spirit!

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

  • Conduct the initial Market Intel, Shape Local Customer Value Proposition, Unique Selling Points and partnerships
  • Accountable from initial design through to ongoing feature enablement providing strong delivery and product commercialization capabilities in target markets for the fintech and supporting all business readiness activity
  • Responsible for and accountable to the Head of Expansion for defining Market Activation approach that is scalable and optimizes reuse across markets/products
  • Responsible for process review following each customer activation to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and to ensure these are implemented in future activations
  • Accountability to Marco Polo leadership for spearheading market activation for the region against enterprise level OKRs through leading feature enablement and ensuring local market benefits are realized
  • Liaise with Customer Servicing and Ops to prepare full operational
  • Ensure 3rd parties contracts are properly executed
  • Drive Market readiness to the commercial launch
  • Steer the progress of Entity creation and regulatory authorization/licence application
Requirements

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • 10+ years of experience in Payments domain, ideally in Asia
  • Strong commercial focus, ability to balance risks vs. rewards and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business ensuring that robust market activation plans are in place and benefits are realised from a commercial angle
  • Strong market understanding (macro-economic, regulatory and ideally fintech space) of Asia
  • Experience within a large, matrix organisation and in managing successfully in challenging environments
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities and the ability to lead and influence
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues
  • Pragmatic decision-making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments based on data-driven insights
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all 5 regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe)

  • Done something with a Fintech in Asia
  • Experience of working in or being deeply involved in B2C Payments businesses in MENA, and India
