ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Finance Associate to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the financial reporting matters and other ad hoc implementation projects of the finance department. This will be a permanent role for the right candidate with ample opportunity to grow within the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Periodic financial closing and management reporting (monthly, quarterly and annually) in accordance with public listed company standards, including preparing group consolidations
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of management reports, and analyzing financial results
  • Lead/drive the year-end audit and quarterly review (acting as a key contact for the auditors)
  • Assist in preparation of annual and quarterly financial reports in accordance with IFRS and other relevant standards
  • Provide support on technical accounting issues, including drafting technical memorandum
  • Assistance with certain operational finance activities, such as reviewing journal postings, supporting managers in financial areas and working with cross-functional teams
  • Support implementation and improvement of internal policies and controls, such as process improvement and/or system migration; and
  • In-charge of IFRS 16 assessment and any other ad-hoc projects assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with at least 4 years of relevant experience (preferably in the life sciences industry)
  • At least 2 years of audit experience in big 4 (prior experience/knowledge in SEC reporting or US GAAP will be advantageous)
  • Has experience in financial reporting for public listed companies
  • Meticulous, organized and attentive to details; and
  • Able to work independently and possesses strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
