Cityneon was listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange since 2005, and was privatized on February 2019 by West Knighton Limited, a company wholly owned by Cityneon's Executive Chairman and Group CEO, Ron Tan, together with Hong Kong veteran entrepreneur and investor, Johnson Ko Chun Shun. Johnson is a capital markets veteran and has held controlling interests and directorships in many listed companies. In May 2019, Cityneon welcomed CITIC Capital as a new shareholder, who holds approximately 9% shares in Cityneon. CITIC Capital is part of CITIC Group, one of China's largest conglomerates, and has over US$29B of assets under its management across 100 funds and investment products globally. Other institutional shareholders of the Group include EDBI - a Singapore government-linked global investor, and Pavilion Capital - a Singapore-based investment institution which focuses on private equity investments, that made strategic investments to the Group in August and October 2019 respectively. In April 2021, Cityneon welcomed new investors Seatown Holdings International, Qatar's Doha Venture Capital, which will now own approximately 4% of the Group, and other financial institutions and family offices in Singapore and China, joining the already strong stable of shareholders to support the Group's further expansion globally. Responsibilities Provide timely, accurate, critical and relevant financial information to stakeholders for informed decision making and monthly evaluation Prepare and review monthly Financial actual P&L and compare against Budget and Forecast Prepare variance analysis Review and analyze the results of local and overseas subsidiaries' monthly management accounts Ensure timely reporting and coordinate country's submission Consolidate standard and ad-hoc reports and prepare annual Group Financial statements as per the stipulated deadline. Work closely with external auditors to ensure smooth audit closing, year-end preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosure schedules, assist in compliance reporting matters. Ensure reporting and compliance deadlines are met. Contract reviews for revenue recognition purposes. Provide support to regional business whenever they have queries and advise on financial implication on significant deals. Involve in financial modelling, templates design and ad-hoc reporting Implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company's assets and interests, assist in the standardization and improvement of processes and procedures. Participate in continuous improvements in all aspects of Finance. Assist in systems maintenance and implementation (e.g. Synergix, Cognos) Group Transfer pricing study and implementation Global Tax Compliance Participate in due diligence reporting and liaison with syndicated banks, investors and shareholders. Accounting systems Experience with accounting systems i.e. Synergix and Cognos Liaise with external consultants to maintain and fine tune functions and financial reports and future projects Accounting systems reporting Working with consultants to develop new reports and functions where required Banking & Treasury Administer key banking platforms Prepare and review all treasury and banking documents Prepare and review all banking facilities forms and submissions Assist in any ad-hoc reporting and projects that may be assigned by Management. Requirements At least 10 years of Financial and Corporate accounting experience Strong in FRS and IFRS requirements. Knowledge in contract reading and revenue recognition is a plus Excellent team player, strong analytical and people management skills. Able to work under stress to meet tight reporting deadlines. Excel financial modeling skills and strong understanding of database management to deal with large amount of information. (Excel & Access) Strong desire to make positive contribution to the Finance process and business operations. Building Partnership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way and to work collaboratively with and influence others. Support Operational Decision: Ability to analyze & interpret financial information and identify the key business issues underlying the numbers. Adaptability: Exemplifies working style that can adapt to suit the situation, and inspire, influence and motivate others to perform. Proven change management ability to excel in uncertainty and comfortable to operate beyond a job description.
