Role Responsibilities
Singapore-based member of the Transformation, Technology and Operations (‘TTO’) Finance team. This role is within the TTO Finance team supporting the Technology, Strategy and Architecture function globally, with specific responsibility for providing business partnering, reporting & analytics to enable execution of the TTO productivity agenda. You will play an integral role in supporting the Head of Performance Management and Control, TTO in driving TTO wide productivity agenda with a specific focus on technology simplification and optimization. Business Support, Reporting and Analytics

  • Support the annual budgeting process, influencing the business to drive alignment across the organization and challenge bottom up plans if not aligned to overall TTO strategy and ambition.
  • Develop quality MIS reporting infrastructure to deliver enhanced insights and visibility on cost performance and productivity attainment.
  • Lead, influence and support cost performance discussions, ensuring the provision of valuable insights into the drivers of performance. Provide risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of Technology, Strategy and Architecture costs and provide finance support in the strategic journey towards identifying cost efficiencies across the newly formed organization.
  • Manage the month-end and BAU requirements, including ownership and control over all cost processes, accounting and control.
Productivity and Value Creation
  • Actively engage with the TTO organization and draw out ideas for cost savings and efficiency to enable the delivery of TTO strategy and financial goals.
  • Drive deep dives and deliver analytics to support and validate cost opportunities to drive efficiencies and synergies across the Tech estate. This includes re-platforming applications, eliminating licences, leveraging consolidated vendor relationships, reviewing outsourcing opportunities, eliminating product choice, driving changes in consumption patterns and staff support models.
  • Develop and implement robust and detailed MI to enable in depth review of tech spend in targeted areas to maximise savings and prioritise future spending.
  • Facilitate the tracking of investment spend required to deliver the productivity.
  • Partner with the TSA management team to track and account for saves in line with the Value Capture Office and Technology Business Management protocols. Enhance the current MI for TTO provided by Technology Business Management Team to fast track the productivity agenda.
  • Drive & execute the creation of a framework that enables overall validation of the TTO efficiency programs leveraging both TTO and TTO Finance leads for support.
  • Run effective decommissioning programs to improve visibility and management of investment flow throughs.
  • Champion use of Apptio across the organization and support our move towards consumption base model to drive meaningful cost conversations with the businesses.
  • Collborate with the TTO Finance team to deliver simplication and improvements to the TPS recharge framework and process.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • University educated
  • Qualified Accountant i.e. CPA, CMA, ACCA.
  • Finance experience of 10+ years or more, with prior exposure to Tech Finance.
  • Experience in cost management, in financial institutions or Technology organizations.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of technology and operations recharge models.
  • Familiarity with the bank’s financial systems and control frameworks.

  • Commercial acumen, with a sense of materiality and decision-making capability.
  • Strong integrity, with a high sense of independence and accountability.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think laterally.
  • Non-hierarchical and collaborative team player.
  • Inquisitive, self-starter with a ‘can-do’ mindset.
  • Able to multi-task, deal with fluidity in role and changing priorities in a fast pace environment.
  • Project Management skills to undertake and supervise / monitor multiple projects.
