Role Purpose

• Provides formulation engineering processing capability to process development, capital projects and manufacturing support projects
• Contributes to the robust scale-up of formulation manufacturing processes from the laboratory through to full-scale manufacture

Accountabilities

• Delivers the scale-up of formulation processes from lab to full-scale manufacturing, under the guidance of the Team Leader
• Leads technology transfer teams for inter-regional transfer or re-siting of products and is the technical lead in product establishment teams and a member of the technical start-up team for new processes and equipment at Syngenta manufacturing sites or tollers.
• Contributes to the design of full-scale manufacturing trials and provides technical supervision as a member of the trial implementation team, under the guidance of the Team Leader
• Provides formulation engineering capability to product establishment teams at Syngenta manufacturing sites or at toll manufacturers, and provides on-site technical supervision during the initial manufacturing phase, under the guidance of the Team Leader.
• Generates the process design for CP capital projects, under the supervision of the Team Leader.
• Identifies solutions to increase manufacturing capacity, improve quality and / or reduce manufacturing costs at CP(Crop Protection) processing sites, and works as a member of the project team to implement these solutions, under the supervision of the Team Leader.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification and / or relevant experience.

Typically has greater than three years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience gained in process development, manufacturing support and or as part of a higher qualification (MSc, PhD) in chemical engineering or a closely related subject.

Experiences of Capital project support

Experiences of manufacturing site engineer, R&D engineer

Experiences from Agrochemical industry or Pharma / Chemical industry.
